Beach

Celebration

This evening we celebrated my friend Helen’s birthday at the Boathouse at Hendry’s beach. It was so warm today and the sunset was gorgeous. I still feel like I am seeing portals even in the clouds in the sky. Keep reading to view the photo gallery 🙂

What Remains of the Day

Sunday was another one of those picture perfect Santa Barbara days. After riding my bike through Hope Ranch and along the coast to Montecito I decided to finish off the day with a walk on the beach at sunset. I grabbed my camera and headed out to Hendry’s beach. The clouds were silvery blue when I arrived. I watched the sunset as it progressed through it’s phases and the crescent moon peeked out from white and then bright pink clouds. After the sun passed below the horizon the sky became fire red and bright orange. It was magnificent to see and I am always truly grateful to witness the beauty of nature. Cycling around Santa Barbara

IMG_3764

I started cycling in 2014 with my Cannondale road bike. It has taken me some time to adjust to riding a road bike comfortably. At first it really hurt to ride my bike, but my boyfriend really helped me adjust my bike to fit me right. He also got me a pair of those padded shorts which I now know are a necessity when riding a road bike. I have been tracking my rides on Strava and now I’m averaging around 20-30 miles per ride.

Rincon Classic 2015

This past weekend the Rincon Classic surf competition took place and I headed to the beach to watch and take some pictures. The weather was absolutely beautiful over the weekend and when I got out to Rincon the waves were looking pretty good. This surf competition takes place every year in January and it is always fun to check it out. I was just there on Saturday, but the competition takes place over three days and the finals were on Sunday. For more information on the competition check out RinconClassic.com and continue reading to view the photo gallery!

Gorgeous Sunset at Hendry’s Beach

IMG_3464

One of my favorite places to watch the sunset in Santa Barbara is Hendry’s Beach. Whenever there are unique clouds in the sky I can tell it’s probably going to be an amazing sunset. I always get upset with myself for missing a good sunset so I made sure to head out to the beach to catch this one and I’m so glad I did! The tide was low so the sunset was creating beautiful reflections in the tide pools. The sky looked like a gorgeous painting. I’m sure you will probably see more posts like this on my blog, but I hope you enjoy them!
